The Yakuza are the Japanese version of a organized crime syndicate.
My attention was brought to this group by a Doco that was on Nat Geo only just today.
The alleys and streets of Shinjuku are a popular modern Tokyo Yakuza hangout.
Looks like no venturing out late at night in Shinjuku area :P
